Hello Friends-Sorry to be so long in writing. Not a lot of news. Writing a
bit, waiting to see when and where I'll record my next CD. Made a brief
unexpected visit to New York last week to do the ASCAP Deems Taylor Awards. I
am a judge for said Pop music journalism awards. Why me you ask? I think it's
because I wear glasses-seems to imply intelligence, warranted or not! Felt
like weeping upon stepping into the cool evening air at JFK-as I sing in my
new song "Sunday Morning in New York", "New York I love you, I can't be happy
anywhere but here." Good to see the city carrying on despite all that's
happened. The firehouse near my apartment had a big plaque up honoring their
men lost. I shed a tear walking up 6th avenue in the early morning. I went to
"Ground Zero" on the day of a big snowstorm. Strange to see all the
historical plaques there. It has become a moment of history now. At my
favorite coffeshop some of the same faces at the same tables. People nodded
hello as if I had been there only yesterday though it has been a year and a
half. Life goes on...

My new song related to the Roman Polanski movie , "The Pianist", was released
last week. Originally called "Dancing With Maria" now "Dancing with Antonio"
for reasons of gender. Sung beautifully by an LA artist named Wendy Lands.
Follow this link to have a listen, read the lyric and read the history of
this project. It' s a fascinating story.

Love to all of you- LJM
